Sevierville, Tenn. – Sevierville, Tennessee has been named the South’s top cool spot for summer meetings by ConventionSouth magazine.
All total, 12 destinations were highlighted, with Sevierville earning the top spot by garnering the most votes from ConventionSouth readers and Facebook followers.
“Sevierville is thrilled to receive this recognition,” says Sevierville Chamber of Commerce marketing director Amanda Marr. “Not only does Sevierville offer a beautiful Smoky Mountain setting and great summer weather, but we’ve also got so much to do – from outlet shopping and golf to cool family-friendly lodging like water park resorts. Many meeting planners tell us their attendees love coming to Sevierville because it’s a great opportunity to bring their families and enjoy quality time together.”
“Meeting Planners and event organizers from across the country look for unique destinations in the South to hold their meetings and events. ConventionSouth’s 2014 list of the ‘South’s Cool Spots For Summer Meetings’ provides these planners with interesting insight on some of the South’s mild temperature destinations,” said ConventionSouth Editor Marlane Bundock. “By offering a place to stay cooler during the hot summer months, meeting planners can boost attendance and create a more comfortable experience for participants and therefore, increase the success of the gathering.”
The January print and digital issue of ConventionSouth will share this list with meeting planners from across the country that book meeting sites in the South.
ConventionSouth magazine is based in Gulf Shores, Ala., and is circulated to more than 18,000 meeting professionals located across the country that book meetings held within the South.
